IN-HOTEL BENEFITS – GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

In-hotel benefits are not offered if the reservation is made with an ineligible rate through a prepaid, third-party channel, such as priceline.com, expedia.com, booking.com, orbitz.com, elong.com and delta.com.

Reservations made on eligible rates booked through a travel agent’s GDS system are eligible for in-hotel benefits.

While an SPG® member may earn stay and night credits and Starpoints® for up to three rooms if he or she pays for all rooms and stays in one of them for the entire length of stay, it is only the one room occupied by the member that is eligible to receive any available in-hotel benefits. No in-hotel benefits apply to a second or third room on a member’s reservation.

A spouse, other family member, friend, associate, etc., cannot use a member’s account to access benefits or accumulate stay or night credits.

IN-HOTEL BENEFITS – TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR SPECIFIC BENEFITS

Room Upgrades

Gold members: Gold members receive upgrades to enhanced rooms, subject to availability for the entire length of stay at time of check-in. Enhanced rooms are rooms on higher floors, corner rooms, newly renovated rooms and rooms with preferred views. Enhanced rooms do not include suites. Not offered at Aloft® and Element hotels.

Platinum members: Platinum members receive upgrades to the best available rooms, including Standard Suites, subject to availability for the entire length of stay at time of check-in. Not offered at Aloft® or Element hotels.

Complimentary In-Room Internet Access

When a reservation is booked at any SPG-participating hotel through Starwood-branded websites (e.g., spg.com, Sheraton.com, Westin.com) or through the SPG app, all SPG members receive complimentary in-room Internet access.

Preferred members receive complimentary standard in-room Internet access

Gold members receive complimentary premium in-room Internet access and may still select a welcome gift of Starpoints or a complimentary beverage.

Platinum members receive complimentary premium in-room Internet access, regardless of booking channel, as long as they are paying an eligible rate.

Complimentary Sheraton Club / Executive-Level Access

Platinum members receive complimentary access to the Sheraton Club® lounges, Westin Executive Club® Lounges and Le Méridien lounges, where available.

  • This benefit is limited to the member and one guest, as long as that guest is staying in the same room as the member.
  • A hotel may refuse access based on occupancy capacity availability.
  • If a lounge is closed for a holiday or weekend night, or if it’s closed for renovations, an alternate benefit may not be offered.

Complimentary Health Club or Gym Access

Platinum members receive complimentary access to any health club or gym owned or maintained by the property. If health club or gym facilities aren’t part of the property, this benefit is not available.

  • This benefit is limited to the member and one guest, as long as that guest is staying in the same room as the member.

Guaranteed Late Checkout

Gold and Platinum members may check out as late as 4 p.m. This benefit is guaranteed at all hotels, except at resort, conference center, and convention hotels, where it is based upon availability.

Guaranteed Room Availability

Platinum members may use the benefit of guaranteed room availability when a hotel is sold out if the room is booked by 3 p.m. local time, 72 hours prior to arrival.

  • Resort properties are excluded from this benefit.
  • Blackout dates may apply.
  • This benefit is limited to only one standard room occupied by the member.
  • Room-upgrade benefits do not apply.
  • The member must pay regular (RACK) rates. Free Night Award and Cash & Points Award redemptions do not apply.
  • Length-of-stay requirements must be met.

OTHER PROGRAM BENEFITS – TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Choice of Additional Benefit (50 Eligible Nights)

Once a Platinum member earns 50 eligible nights in a calendar year, she or he will be able to choose a benefit from a selection of options. View the options at spg.com/50nightsbenefit.

SPG Lifetime™ Gold and SPG Lifetime™ Platinum

Starpoints Expiration

Starpoints never expire as long as a member's account shows activity at least once per 12-month period. For complete terms and conditions, visit spg.com/t&c.

Convert Starpoints to Frequent-Flyer Miles

Members may convert their Starpoints to frequent-flyer miles. Participating airlines and conversion ratios are subject to change. Cash & Points

Best Rate Guarantee

A claim must be submitted prior to, or within 24 hours after, making a reservation through a Starwood-branded website, and 24 hours before scheduled arrival (48 hours prior to arrival is required for non-English websites). For more details or to submit a claim, visit starwoodhotels.com/bestrate.

Meetings & Events

Earn a maximum of 20,000 Starpoints per contract as a Preferred member, 30,000 Starpoints per contract as a Gold or Platinum member, and 40,000 Starpoints per contract if you have SPG 75 Nights Benefits or higher.
