Do eligible stays also advance?

How does the nights advance promotion work?
Members who have registered by November 30, 2009, will have their eligible nights and stays from October 1 through December 31, 2009, counted in 2010 toward future elite qualification status. For example, a member who has eight nights and six stays October 1 through December 31, 2009, will have eight nights and six stays added to his or her Starwood Preferred Guest® account in 2010.

Will any nights/stays be removed from my 2009 account?
Nights or stays will not be removed from your 2009 account activity. SPG is actually adding the number of eligible nights and stays earned from October 1 through December 31, 2009, to the member's 2010 account activity.
